Change vs. picking sides

Sri Lanka now a presidential representative democracy, used to be ruled under the commonwealth of Britain. During the British Raj, the established aristocrats were torn apart of their prominence, and was replaced by new era of pro-empire capitalistic feudalism. This was done partly due to the evangelical motives of the Raj and to balance out the rising influence of the independence movement which would eventually shake the very foundations of the ‘crown colony of Ceylon’ in 1948.

The USA has the right to defend itself(and i wholeheartedly support that!), but it is hypocritical of the US and the so-called international community to only recognise the US’s right to Defend it Self, but not the same right Sri Lanka is entitled to as a sovereign nation.

Visiting Jaffna is like going back in time.. it’s almost feels as if time somehow stopped moving for this city. Yet it bears qualities of a premium holiday destination of the future. Make no mistake, it will need some government intervention in order for it to blossom; and I intend to add my two cents to the debate what these interventions could be
