Top 10 Reasons why I would have voted for SF

  1. It’s time for a change. Time to break the downward spiral. Who Better than a patriot?
  2. He almost lost his life in the war due to a suicide attack! I have no reason to think that he will squander up what he won on the battle field
  3. He is a brilliant military tactician/strategist; his skills may have scope for application in civilian political compromise.
  4. He has fought for the country and still remains a prime target for enemies of Sri Lanka, yet he pledges to start the process of reconciliation. further
  5. He embraces more liberal policies and does not have any longstanding political alliances. His pro-business rhetoric is a breath of fresh air to entrepreneurs of Sri Lanka.
  6. Life was hard for the ordinary man under the Rajapakse(s) administration. But a despicable jumbo cabinet lived it up in style.
  7. He is really the only hope we have to abolish the Executive presidency.. Sri Lanka needs more checks and balances put in place. He says that he will abolish  the press council bill and introduce a freedom of information bill. Can’t argue with that..
  8. “Mihin air” must be given a better name ha-ha… On a more serious note I hope gets the fuck rid of it!
  9. He promises to get rid of the “rice mill mafia”. I think it’s good because it will make food supplies more affordable for the poor.
  10. He was quoted saying some very nationalistic stuff…(which really annoyed Peelamist who wasted their lives protesting near west minister, London)

    1. I don’t think anything is going downwards. I he really a patiot?
    2. So did Gotabhaya. He was following instructions. If Ranil was there instead of Mahinda, and asked him to be Prabhakaran’s bodyguard, he would have done it.
    3. Yes, but I’m not sure about the second part. He doesn’t seem to have much people skills. Kalavedda, paaharaya etc, very undiplomatic.
    4. All those enemies, including the TNA, Tamil diaspora, NGOs, Miliband, EU etc support him over Rajapakse. Why?
    5. Agreed.
    6. Fonseka will need to have an even bigger cabinet to stay in power.
    7. He won’t do the former. The latter is good, but he’s already threatened journalists, and I don’t think he particularly cares for press freedom.
    8. Abso-fucking-lutely yes!
    9. How? By the government taking it over? He will allow similar monopolistic cartels to control trade. He will engage in cronyism, nepotism and corruption as much as the Rajapakses.
    10. I don’t think he’s a hardcore nationalist or a patriot. He was just saying that because that was the common sentiment in the country at the time.

More no’s than yes’s for me.

    i don’t accuse this guy as i told u earlier ;)
but i don’t like liberal economic policies. i just don’t think it suits our country. i prefer national ideology over libaralism. i remember how the later has ruined our culture.
but yeah! exacutive precidency of JR’s constitution is stupid. but it was very usefull to defeat terrorism.
mihin air IS A NATIONAL AIR LINE!!!!!! not a private company. u can change the name to some western name if u want, if u don’t like such a hela name #$#$#^%$^$&*
the cabinett has the same vage as normal parliamentry ministers. but it is too large
